In a hurry? Listen to the Audio Version of the Post
Hello Readers, I will keep this post short and quick. For the past few days, I am researching and collecting data about a new topic, which seems to take up most of my time. Hence, for a change, I will present the following post as an update to creative block and share the top Podcasts that I like to listen on A.I.
Topics that I have covered in this post -Â
Support of Audio Voice Overs in the Creative Block Newsletter
Top A.I. PodcastsÂ
Audio vs TextÂ
Hello readers,Â
So almost all of us consume information in different ways, via different mediums. Many of us love reading books, some like watching movies, videos and others like to listen to podcasts on the topic they love.
I fall in the category of people who consume information via text (books, articles, newsletters, etc.) and audio (podcasts, audiobooks, etc.). While doing research for my articles regarding Artificial Intelligence or Tech in general, I do a lot of online article reading. However, this has changed over the past few days, as I am looking at other mediums of information.
Recently, I have gotten into listening to audiobooks and podcasts on Spotify. Some of the major online publications offer their readers to ‘hear’ the audio version of their posts. Some of the well-known online article publishing, like - Washington Post, The New York Times Ltd and The Economist, to name a few, have their own version of audio voiceovers.Â
And it made sense to have audio voiceovers of the article.Â
Firstly, it allows readers to ‘listen’ to their article while doing other important works side by side - some people like this way of work, and say it increases their productivity (but this doesn’t usually work for me though). Secondly, it is a much faster way to consume information if you just want to know the gist of the article - that's why many technical articles like that of programming or academia usually don't offer audio voiceover. And finally, it takes less effort to consume information while listening rather than reading - a reason why Podcasts seem to have a much larger audience than an online magazines.
If you study the following graph -Â
It seems as if audio and visual content surpasses the engagements made by text-based content. So does that mean people prefer the visual mode of learning and reading more? Absolutely.
Hence to provide an upgraded experience to my readers, even I have started providing Audio Voice Overs to the post published in this newsletter. Plus, I have uploaded each voice overs on Spotify, so that you can save them as well in your apps - or add it to your playlist if you like. However, I want to disclose that all these voiceovers are AI-generated, yet they are less robotic and more natural kinda voices (not perfect, but not bad either).Â
Even this post has its own voiceover.
This is just an experiment. So far, my readers like this feature of the newsletter, so I will continue to use it. This gives a choice to the readers to have not one - but two ways of consuming the content of this newsletter, so that choice is good for now.
Anyways, while we are talking about audios and podcasts, let me suggest to you some A.I. Podcasts that I am listening to, that you should check out as well.
